    1. Is this Bill Massey, the outstanding Chula Vista sprinter who was a top 100, 220 man and who anchored a very swift Spartans 880-yard relay team in 1963 or ’64? HC means that a “hand time” has been converted to what the time would have been had there been electronic timing, as there is today. It affected all of those great sprint times of your era. Electronic timing came into vogue in the early 1980s, if I recall right. You did pretty good compared to training, diet, equipment, and facilities that evolved the sport over the years.
